The environment quality in key cities was improved. Water quality of the ground environment in 33 cities and air quality in 22 cities reached to the standardization by functional zone...

But we are disappointed about the actual situation: Water quality of the key treatment of rivers and lakes didn't see the notable improvement...

Being set in early 9th five-year plan and based on the total control target of 1995, the treatment task is low in level and primary in target. The fulfillment of the total volume control is the beginning for China to prevent and control the water pollution. The more arduous and complicated pollution treatment task is waiting for us.
