Beijing is successfully adjusted the energy structure. At present, 6,648 boilers changed from burning coal to clean fuel. These renovated boilers have a total capacity of 11,005.6 tons. After renovation, they can reduce coal burning by 2 million tons, and reduce 255,000 tons of SOD and 20,400 tons of soot emission. The boiler renovation has played a remarkable role in the improvement of air quality. In the completely constructed zones of the city proper, 4,000 more boilers are waiting for renovation within the next three years.
