WWF is hiring Programme Development Officer


Reports to: Conservation Director

Location: Beijing

WWF is seeking an experienced expert in programme development to support our exciting and ambitious conservation programme in China. The Programme Development Officer’s main duties are: to develop constructive relationships with, and maximize funding support for WWF China’s conservation programmes from, Governmental Aid Agencies; to provide technical support to programmes in project development and fundraising; and to insure effective monitoring and evaluation of WWF’s programmes in China.

Job Requirements:

  • Knowledge: Sustainable development theory and practice; workings of international conservation and development community.
  • Experience: At least 10 years relevant experience. Work in bilateral agencies, UN system, multilateral development banks, or Global Environment Facility strongly preferred. Work experience in China also strongly preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent proposal development skills. Good interpersonal and communications skills as both internal and external contacts. Excellent organisational and administrative skills, as well as thoroughness and attention to detail. Ability to provide training in PCM and other relevant subjects. Good computer skills are necessary. Good command of English. Working knowledge of Chinese a plus.
