Recruitment of LEAD Associates Cohort 11 Call for Applications Leadership for Environment and Development(LEAD) is a network of over 1200 professionals in 80 countries who practice and contribute to sustainable development at all levels of society. Recruitment to this network is through a challenging and unique international training program. LEAD is seeking applications from committed individuals who wish to join our 11th cohort of participants. The training involves 50 days over an 18-month period and will begin at the end of 2002. At the end of their training, graduates join the powerful network of LEAD Fellows. Who should apply Prospective applicants should be aged between 25 and 45, in full-time employment and resident in any of the following countries or regions: Brazil, Canada, China, the Commonwealth of Independent States, Europe, Francophone Africa, India, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Southern Africa: (Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe), and United States. Knowledge and Skills development LEAD's training combines knowledge of the most current environment and development issues with skills including leadership and team building, conflict management and negotiation and public presentation - all in a multicultural learning context. Members of LEAD are drawn from the spheres of business, media, NGOs, government, and academia. Full support of employers is needed throughout the training.
