CEE Announcement

Dear Sir/Madam,

The Centre for Environment Education (CEE) was established in August 1984 as a Centre of Excellence supported by the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India and is affiliated to the Nehru Foundation for Development (NFD). CEE, a national institution with its headquarters in Ahmedabad, has a mandate to promote environmental awareness nationwide.

CEE's international Certificate Course in Environmental Education (CCEE) is a three month residential training programme conducted every year by CEE, India. The Course is a joint activity of CEE, IUCN, UNEP-ROAP and WWF-International. Till date, 78 professionals from 18 countries have been trained under this initiative.

The Course aims to provide an opportunity for persons who have entered the profession of environmental education to acquire, in a relatively short time, the multi-disciplinary perspective that is necessary for environmental educators.

Attached herewith is the course announcement and a set of application forms. We hope you will be able to share this with other relevant agencies and individuals in your country who you feel would be interested in the course.

Kindly note that the Selection Committee will be meeting soon to select participants. So please send filled in application form at the earliest. For those Indian candidates who do not require boarding lodging facilities, the course fee will be negotiated.

Regards,

Meena Raghunathan
Programme Coordinator, CEE
and
Regional Chair (South Asia), IUCN-CEC
