China Coordinator for the Chinese Tigers SA Trust and Save China's Tigers

Job Description

The Chinese Tiger SA Trust and its mother organization Save China's Tigers requires a China Coordinator to coordinate all aspects of the trust's agreement (attached) with China. The China Coordinator will need to report to and liase with the General Manager of the Trust, trustees of the Trust, and various people within the organizations of Save China's Tigers. The, China Coordinator will need to manage relationships with China representatives of the Chinese Tiger project as well as different levels of Chinese government concerning the projects, manage training programs for Chinese Trainees, manage media projects, coordinate expert teams to China to ensure that Pilot Reserve project gets completed, coordinate with Save China's Tigers and subcontractors on merchandising materials, and most importantly, raise fund and corporate sponsorships for the different projects within the agreement. 　

Know-How/Experience. 　

This position requires the candidate to possess very good communication skills. Though not an expert in any one particular area, he/she must be able to absorb and learn fast and understand the different issues from a different perspective.

• Must be mature, business-oriented, able to work across various cultures and manage all kinds of relationships and projects independently and with flexibility. 　
• Must have knowledge of business practices, including marketing, public relations and fund-raising, budget development and management. 　

Specific Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 　

1. Liase and co-ordinate with our General Manager in South Africa on the project. The representative in Beijing will represent both Chinese Tiger Trust and Save China's Tigers. 　
2. Manage relationships with China Party and all levels of the Chinese government relating to the project. 　
3. Develop relationships with corporate sponsors. 　
4. Organize Chinese officers' training trips. 　
5. Manage media projects in consultation and coordination with Save China's Tigers
   1. Manage relationships with media on the Chinese Tiger project
   2. Arrange filming of Chinese Tigers for Save China's Tigers archives
   3. Liase with Chinese Broadcasters on the progress of the Chinese Tiger project
      Etc..
6. Coordinate survey team to China to ensure that Pilot Reserve project gets completed 　
   1. Liase with SA to arrange for SA expert survey teams survey in China 　
   2. Liase with SA expert team and China on the dafting of feasibility studies 　
   3. Liase with China and expert team on the Planning of the Pilot reserve in China 　
   4. Liase with China and expert team of the restoration of the habitat in China 　
   5. Liase with China and expert team on the reintroduction of prey species and other wildlife into the Pilot Reserve 　
   6. Liase with China and expert team on the reintroduction of the Chinese Tigers in China
      Etc.. 　
7. Co-ordinate with Save China's Tigers and subcontractors on merchandising materials 　
   1. Ensure consistent image and design 　
   2. Find distribution 　
   3. Find sponsors for such materials 　
8. Raise fund and sponsorships for the different projects within the agreement in co-ordination with the board of Trustees: 　
   1. Search for and solicit sponsors for the different projects: training, tiger transportation, insurance, feasibility studies of the Chinese reserve, production of media materials and merchandising materials etc.. 　
   2. Solicit investors and/or sponsors for the whole Chinese Tiger Pilot Reserve project. 　
   3. olicit investors and/or sponsors for subprojects within the Chinese Tiger Pilot Reserve Project. 　

Reports to: The position will require the candidate to be fully independent and report to the General Manager of the Trust and the board of trustees.
