LEAD-China holds the third
"Leadership in Sustainable Development Training Course"

Foster capable people for sustainable development

LEAD (acronym for Leadership for Environment and Development,LEAD project in China is called LEAD-China) headquarters is located in the Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine in London . The Imperial College aims at cultivating middle aged and young leaders who are interested in both economic development and environment protection. LEAD conducts "leadership in sustainable development" training course and recruits associates in over 60 countries in Asia, Africa, Europe, Latin America, and North America. It currently has over 1000 fellows and associates.

In order to meet the demands of young people who are interested in sustainable development, LEAD-China office will holds the third "Leadership in Sustainable Development Training Course" on April 22nd of 2003. The training will last for 5 days from the 22nd to 27th.

The participatory training course will provide discussion and exchange opportunities for the participants through exercise, special topic discussion, and capacity building. The main theme of of this training course will be "Water Resource Management". Well know Chinese water resource experts will be invited to the training course to discuss the institutional arrangement and institutional innovation of Chinese Water Resource Management System with the participants.

After all the requirements are met, LEAD-China will award each associate a diploma signed by Mr. Qu Geping (the chairman of the board of director of LEAD-China).

Deadline of applications: April 15th, 2003

Cost of training:

  • RMB 2000 (includes room and board during training).
  • RMB 1500 (not includes room and board during training).

Qualification:

Anyone who is interested in sustainable development and has a BA or BS degree or equivalent.
