The first report concerning China by the United Nations Development Programs--'China Human Being Development 1997' was published in Beijing recently. Human being development strives to evaluate human being's development from economic development and social development. The report's theme is poverty elimination. It elaborates on income distribution, health care, education and nutrition, population, employment, social welfare, natural condition, poverty, and etc, and tries to explain the relations between these issues. It also tries to make a evaluation on different provinces' development.
