"Ford Environmental Protection Award" is issued in Beijing on December 14th. Six environmental protection programs in Beijing, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Qinghai and Hebei provinces won this award. Of the programs winning the award are "Tibetan chirus protection and fighting against the illegal hunting in Hohxil" and "China youth global village." The six programs won a total of RMB1 million.

"Ford Environmental Protection Award" is one of the most prominent awards. It aims to promote the environmental protection. "Ford Environmental Protection Award" has been given to over 30 countries in the world. But it was the first time for establishing in China this September.
