Beijing Municipal EPA says that in the first half this year, the grade II or better than grade II air quality lasted 71 days, 36 days more than the same period last year; the days for grade III or better than grade III air quality occupies 90 percent. That creates the highest record in late ten years.

Monitoring shows that the suspended particle in the air dropped 4 percent in the first half this year. In the second half year, purified wastewater will be used to reduce the dust. Starting from late July, Gaobeidian Wastewater Treatment Plant will purify 500,000 tons of wastewater a day, mainly to use for reducing dust on the streets and irrigating green areas in the center of the streets.

In Beijing, 25 enterprises are informed to be stopped production for pollution control and 64 enterprises are asked to move to other places or control the pollution. Now five enterprises have been moved and 11 enterprises completely controlled the pollution.
