On July 28th, Yuchang Company held a news conference at the Great Hall of the people introducing its new product-- GSC-I package box. The product is invented by the chemistry institute, Chinese academy of science. It is made from starch, plant fiber and rice husk, and can be disposed quickly. The production process does not cause pollution and the cost is low. It is estimated that by 2000, disposable tableware pieces will reach 18million in China. It will have a large potential market. Chinese academy of science has decided of set up a plant making the product to meet the need of the market. And so Yuchang Company established.
