SEPA today issued the checking result on the comprehensive treatment of 46 key cities in 2000. Compared with that in 1999, the environmental quality, pollution control, environmental capital construction and management of the key cities have improved differently in checking indexes.

Of the 46 key cities, 11 state environmental protection model cities, such as Haikou, Qingdao, Shantou, Zhuhai, Yantai, Xiamen, Shenzhen, Dalian, Ningbo, Hangzhou and Suzhou, average to win 88.19 scores. Other cities are higher than 7.9 scores...
