Affected by No.10 tropical storm, traffics were at a standstill and schools were dropped out of in some cities of southern Guangdong province. Reports from meteorological observatory located in the center of Guangzhou show that No.10 violent typhoon landed on nearby Zhuhai on September 16. Typhoon led to torrential rain in several cities of Guangdong province. In Shenzhen torrential storm cut down the traffic. Some of long distance bus stopped running, and parts of the electricity system were destroyed. Baiyun airport was not affected seriously by the typhoon. Only some airlines were delayed.
