Rainstorm spread in Jilong of Taiwan, Taibei drought intensifies

( Abstract )

A rainstorm poured on June 4, and the water level of Xiding River in Jilong rose suddenly and sharply.

Mid south of Taiwan continued heavy rains day after day, and caused mud-rock flow in many places. "Taiwan Weather Bureau" released cloudburst special report on June 4, and warned people in mid south, northeast and southeast to be aware of rock fall, collapse and mud-rock flow.

In the meantime, Taibei had no rains, drought intensified, and water level of reservoir kept declining. Taibei government expressed that, if water level could not increase obviously by the middle ten days in this month, government will further consider to adopt the strict measure that stop water supply every three days.
