Since May 12, Hunan Province experienced a severe rainfall, causing the water level of Sishui and Dongting Lake to increase. Strong rainfall is concentrated in West Dongting Lake area. As of May 14, 8 pm the water level of Changsha Station along Xiangjiang River has reached 34.47 meters, once again exceeding flood prevention levels of 0.47 meters.

Rainstorm has destroyed parts of the roads and suspended the traffic. Agricultural production is also seriously affected by excessive rain.
