In Jiujiang of Jiangxi Province, the forest department recently adopted effective measures. Monitoring and preventing work is strengthened for controlling overall spread of all sorts of pine forest diseases and insect pests. Safety of the landscape and forest area of Mount Lushan is under the protection. At present, Mount Lushan Protective Area has 15,000 hectares of forest area, including the pine forest area of 7,200 hectares.
