Drought in Liaoning is intensifying

( Abstract )

Half of Liaoning province in northeast China is seriously affected by drought. The crop fields are withered and show the tendency of no yield, and more than 400,000 people and 200,000 heads of livestock have drinking water difficulties. More than 200 reservoirs are dried out, and the water level has dropped more than 50% in 20 large reservoirs, threatening the daily life and rice production downstream. As the temperature goes up, the drought is intensifying.
