The news from State Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters (SFCDRH) says that the drought is intensifying in the north of the Yellow River. The high temperatures in the last few days in the northwest, north and northeast have worsened the situation there.

By June 13, the drought affected crop fields have increased to 14.4 million hectares, more than three million hectares cannot be planted due to drought, and 16.2 million of people and 13.7 million live stocks are suffering from drinking water difficulties. The drought lasted quite long in Shanxi, Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi and Gansu provinces.
