At present, drought continued in most of the northern areas and part of the southern areas in China.

Statistics till June 7th show that the country has 12,733,333 hectares of crops suffering from drought. 18.2 million people and 5.2 million livestock had difficultie in getting drinking water. Funds are allocated for fighting against the big drought.
