Yesterday, in Beijing, all construction sites were inspected. Among those inspected, a number of construction sites were found to be causing dust pollution. Four of the construction sites were required to make immediate improvements and penalized 20,000 yuan.

Beijing requires a number of improvements to be made at all construction sites. Construction sites must use garbage cans with secure lids, garbage must be removed accordingly, all construction activities must be halted when wind force is level 4 or higher. Construction sites not following the procedures resulting in dust pollution will be penalized accordingly.
